Surprisingly good food. Chips and salsa were pretty good. There are two other locations in Springfield. I happened to be in Springfield due to a family emergency. A nurse at St. John's recommended this place.

Margaritas were OK. There were many people in the restaurant and it look to be a very popular place.

Worth going back.

I took my grandson Russell to this place to celebrate his 30th birthday at his recommendation. The place is in Wicker Park on Chicago's near west side.

He had Uncle Saul's Enchiladas that he reported as very good. They had a nice hot sauce. I had the Ranchero Beef dish from the El Taco Bar that I thought was very good.

Margaritas were OK but I had to ask for an extra shot that cost more than the Margarita itself!

This place is visited by a young crowd.

Worth going back. This place is much better than El Cid that he took me to in Feb.

Recently Susan and I had the pleasure of introducing our good friends Beth and Don - Beth is the name sake of this web site, Don manages a vast real estate and media empire http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=6618833&blogId=423453713 - to CANS which is located on Crabapple Road in downtown Crabapple. This was our second visit and we were again pleased with the excellent margaritas, good food and attentive service. CANS was started by several former Pure Taqueria workers who split off to start CANS – like Pure, CANS does not offer the usual combination plates, instead there are a good selection of well crafted up-scale dishes – we had the fish tacos, enchiladas verde and shrimp filled chili rellenos, these were all excellent – the tamales were a bit bland. There is a large covered patio area which is reserved for adults, a fact that has drawn some negative comments from others, we were not unhappy. Now for the important part, the margaritas. We had ”The Matador” which are an upgrade from the house margarita – Susan judged them the best she has had, and believe me, she knows, she’s had plenty. CANS only offers their pitchers on the rocks, they say they pour more easily, we found their frozen margaritas to be exceptionally smooth. Head bartender Carlos has developed quite a following - he sees to it that the margaritas do not disappoint – he’s a success at this. We’ll be back.
